Question 10: I recently saw the remake of the Manchurian Candidate. I thought that was done pretty well. It was suspenseful and makes an interesting point. Of course, The Godfather dealt with politics as well, and that is the master of all movies, even though the subject matter isn't my favorite, it was brilliantly done. And most importantly, I will be very excited to see how this new movie, which is going to be partly filmed in Tallahassee for obvious reasons, called Recount, starring Kevin Spacey, will do. I think Americans need to be reminded, as much as we are of 9/11, what took place during the 2000 elections.
Question 11: My favorite political book of all time is 1984 by George Orwell. It not only tells the tale of a totalitarian regime but also the people inside and how mindless they behaved...gee, I wonder if there is any connection? I was told long time ago, as 1984 was approaching that G.O. was not referring to a futuristic society by he was talking about Britian after WWII. I believe he wrote the book in 1948 and he just switched teh 4 and 8 to 84. I think he must of had a vision and was talking about Britain and her allies...
