You Tube and CNN Debats

Last night was the first presidential debates that took questions from You Tube. their where 39 question asked out of 3,000 submissions. Also each candidate was asked to put on a you tube video and some where pretty funny. I think this is a good idea to do because it lest the people ask what is on their mind Here is the link to the story. http://www.cnn.com/2007/POLITICS/07/23/debate.main/index.html

Having the presidential candidates on you tube is a great idea. More people will be able to know what each of the candidate stand on.

I think it's cool that the candidates are keeping up with the technology. The only thing that I don't like about the debats is that the candidates already know what the questions will be. I don't agree with that because then their answers are rehearsed and that's fake to me.

I don't have a poze82 in my gradebook, so I can't give you any credit.

I think this was a good thing for the debate. It got us directly involved. I must say I give a Kudos to Hilary.

I think that is a great idea; to target young voters because I have a lot of friends that use and are familiar with You Tube. I found the videos amusing as well.

It is an awesome idea. Even though I'm sure they prescreened many questions and gave them to the candidates beforehand to approve, this is a great way to publicize the Presidential race using new and popular mediums. Then there are the spoof videos some of the candidates put out there, which bother me a little. This shouldn't turn into a popularity contest with who makes the best comedy videos. It just pushes the real issues off to the side, but optimistically it brings in more viewers.

I think the Youtube debates was a great idea, it allowed the presidential canditates to see what is really important to America. It also promotes involvement among young voters to follow the 2008 elections. The Republican debate is Sept. 14 I belive.
