Anniversary of the first use of the A-bomb

on August 6, 1945, the U.S. dropped an atomic bomb on Hiroshima as a response to the japanese attack on the U.S. 61 years later, the current mayor of Hiroshima wants to destroy all nuclear weapons in the world and he wants japan to lead by example. i don't think nuclear weapons will ever be "eliminated." more countries have nuclear weapons today since WW2 and other countries are trying to develop the technology to create them, even though the U.N. has resolutions against it.
