Barrack Obama is going to be the new President of the United States. Obama defeated McCain by 201 electoral votes. Obama also won the popular vote 53% to 46%. This election has been an exciting one and I hope that our new president will help the United States gain a positive status back in the world view.

I am very fortunate to be part of history because Obama is the first black president and I hope that he helps us out of this economic crisis and doesn't make things worse.

I am truly blessed and excited about our newly elected president. I believe he will stand for what he believes and do what it will take to help shape up this country. This is history making news and I pray that during his administration we will see the CHANGE that he desires. The American people have been in need of a change for a long time and I hope this will benefit us in the long run. It's more than just being a black man, but being a black man that is the president of the United States of America. He has open a lot of doors that we African Americans did not believe existed. Thank you so much President Obama.

I am very excited that Obama has won this election, I believe he will be great for our country and take us out of the hole we dug for ourselves. However I was very disappointed in the reaction of many of the young voters in the range of 18-25. Comments saying he will be a dictator and ruin our country and so on. Obviously these people know nothing about politics because they should know about our checks and balance system, and almost everything has to be approved by congress and the House. I just thought many people were ignorant and did not represent young adults in a good way.

This definitely was a monumental election that has changed history. I hope that Obama can deliver on his plans for the United States of America. The beautiful thing about America is that at the end of the day, no matter who you voted for, we will still join together as one nation and stand up for our rights.

I am happy with the results of the election. Yet, I don't understand how the US does not have a positive status in the world view. Other countries depend so much on the world aid given by the US to fix their problems.

Obama has made history! I was very suprised the way the votes came out. I live in a small town where everyone talks about everything and I didn't hear many people support Obama. I hope that he can fulfill his promises made and continue to change things the way he says he will.

I am truely overjoyed that Senator Obama has become President-elect of the United States of America. For 8 years we have put up with abuse of our Constitution. Our rights as citizens have been deminished. Our economy is in the toilet. A CHANGE is definitely what we need.
HOORAYYYYYYYYYYY!!!
