Health Care Plan

According to Illnois Rep. the health care plan put together by Republicans in the House of Representatives would be far cheaper than a plan being drawn up in the Senate. A preliminary review of that plan by the Congressional Budget Office found it would cost about $1 trillion over 10 years to extend health insurance to 16 million people who otherwise would not be covered. Although, the health care plan would benefit tons of people, the way our economy is right now I do not believe that we are in the right position to spend $1 trillion. When our economy is on the rise then maybe we can start putting this health care plan into practice. But as of right now I believe that we should put this on hold.

I would have to somewhat disagree with this because at this point health care should be one of our main focuses. With the baby boomers getting older and being described as the 'pig in the python' it's scary to think of what is going to happen to the older generations. It's hard to imagine that America is spending more on health care than any other nation yet we aren't even close to having the best. At this point the only the solution to our health care problem would be to socialize it because if not we are only going to have a lot of dying old people not getting the care they need. It's sickening to me to walk into the TMH emergency room and to see so many people that clearly have problems that should be addressed at a doctors office. Yet they don't have insurance so the only way they can get help is to crowd the emergency room.

The health care in our country is terrible. The economy in this country is terrible right now. It’s just not the right time to do a health care reform in this country. We need to focus on our economy and getting Americans back on their feet!
