The Vital Idjit Vote

The guys at Onion News Network really hit the nail on the head with this video. Now I realize that the idjit vote is the vote of the masses. It makes me think about our forefathers being afraid that our government would be plagued by the "passions of the masses", people that they thought were too ill-informed to vote.

here it is

Josh J., Great blog to my response, on another blog. Idjit seems like a clever way of saying "idiot vote." Althought the video did not claim it as such. I don't know why this happens I just know it does, from the begining of voting. I, think it really relates to the amount of trust we have in politican.... We know or it proven that they will say what the people want to hear to get elected. Once this dream is realized by being elected they most often don't stand up for what they pleadged and to keep from totally getting feed up with politicans peolpe do the "Idjit Vote process."

That video made me laugh. its like they are trying to sell a car. Up beat commercials with repetition and name dropping. Yeah the car may look nice and sound nice, but what if its a lemon? Yeah this candidate may look nice, have a cool name, do great speeches and use good word choice. That doesn't matter when it comes down to their job, their job is to help run a country not give speeches and do interviews.

This makes me think of the choices people make, as far as what they belive and what they choose not to. Propaganda and subliminal messaging is everywhere. Its what drives, moves, and taps into the decisions of our subconcious. I think the country should consider the real issues and when they get into the booth ask "how will this candidate effect, negatively or postive. Do they have real solution to the problem or just a cover-up, touch-up?" Its time to focus.
