Mercy Killing or Murder
How do you feel about euthanasia? Should it be legal? I'm on the fence of whether it should be legalized. Part of me feels if the person has a terminal illness and is in a lot of pain they should have the right to die. Another part of me feels that if it becomes legalized that it will be expanded and people will be able to be end there life without it being a terminal illness that causes you great pain. Look at abortion it started out for the mother's health and then was expanded so that it is legal for any adult. There is also more complication because if the person is not able to speak for themselves (mental illness, coma, etc.), who has the right to decide for them if they don't have a living will.

I agree with you. There are two parts to the story, and it makes it hard to decide. There are too many crazy people, that will take it for advantage.
People already have to much power we shouldn't allow it because it will be misused!
I don't think euthanasia and abortion are quite the same thing. However I do agree with you, if someone is suffering, they shouldn't have to. But who is to make that choice? What if the person is incapable of making that desicion? Who should it be left to? I am for ending that type of pain, but like many things, it needs to be in a kind of moderation where it will not get out of hand. Much like abortion. Rape, mistakes, health, finances, overpopulation, abortion is not in vain either, but like euthanasia, there is a moderation.
I beleive if the person if able to stand up and make a decision for themselves(no matter the condition) then no one should be able to take their life away. You might as well call it murder because you're killing someone who more then likley wants to live. Yeah, people don't need to suffer but it's their body and, and they know how much they can stand.
Jelicia, you sound very passionate in your agruement.
