Increasing Terrorists Lead to Increasing Troops

I recently read an article that the military leaders of our nation are concerned about the growing number of al Qaeda cells in our country. This doesn't suprise me because it never should have been doubted that such a large terrorist group such as al qaeda would try to set up networks in the Unites States. The head of the northern command, Air Force Gen. Renuart, says that we need to triple our military response teams. We already have one brigade, about 3500 troops, but he says we need to increase that to three. Gen. Renuart says that he doesn't think we'll be attacked this summer, but instead that we could be attacked any day; the area needing the most attention according to him is our ports. This makes sense to me because after 9/11 all eyes are on the planes and airports, so nobody is really focusing on our ports. I agree with Gen. Renuart, we need to focus our eyes on the places not so obvious for incoming terrorist attacks if we don't want a repeat of 9/11; because the terrorists both inside and outside our nation are counting on us turning our backs.

I definitely agree with Gen. Renaurt. We should increase security on our ports because thats where everything is coming in and out of. I think for the safety of this country and the people that everything possible should be done to protect the United Sates and what it stands for.
