Police and Abuse of Power

This isnt a topic that many people get to into. But Have you ever thought about this. A cop pulls you over for speeding, lets just say his dog died that morning he is in a bad mood and takes it out on you in the form of a full priced ticket. Then the next day pulls someone else over for the same thing but gets a warning. Where does the line get drawn in the sand for these guys. I would like to think that most cops are good ones, but the truth is that these guys have so much freedom to do what ever they want that they get away with crazy stuff. For example you can be arrested for using a profatity towards a cop (obstruction of justice-destracting the officer from doing his job to the best of his ability). Im just saying if these guys have so much control over us there should be a tighter standrad by which these cops opperate. The way I look at it is when a cop pulls me over for not comming to a complete stop at 4:30am when no one is around, his time could be better spent catching the "bad guys" than messing with me. It is pretty much there personal choice if they want to arrest you or let you go and were putting this choice in the hands of another human that is just as flawed as we all are. That to me is scary. Maybe some kind of computerized system that requires the cop to go more by the book.
