AIDS in Africa

The epidemic in Africa has no end in sight. I think we should try to educate the people over there about how AIDS spreads and give them ways to help themselves instead of throwing money at the problem. That, coupled with the fact that the medicine to treat the disease can't be afforded by them makes this a quagmire with no end in sight. Thoughts?
