Florida Amendment Results

This is the results for the amendments that were on the ballot for this election.

• The Declaration of Rights amendment did not pass. it was defeated 52.1% to 47.9%.
• The Florida Marriage Protection amendment passed with a 61.9% approval.
• The Changes and Improvements Not Affecting the Assessed Value of Residential Real Property amendment passed with a 60.5% approval.
• The Property Tax Exemption of Perpetually Conserved Land; Classification and Assessment of Land Used for Conservation amendment passed with a 68.6% approval.
• The Assessment of Working Waterfront Property Based Upon Current Use amendment passed with a 70.6% approval.
• The Local Option Community College Funding amendment did not pass and was defeated 56.5% to 43.5%.

I was glad that a few of the amendments passed but I really wish that the Local Option amendment would have passed.
