Their has been talk about cutting funds for Physical education in the public schools. This would be a big mistake. Kids these days already don't get enough physical activity because kids are to involved with T.V, video games, and the internet.

Why would funds be cut for physical education when exercise is a very important element in being healthy. Children should be taught how to take care of their bodies in a proprer manner. I also feel like P.E. is another effective way at building socialization skills if there are games involving working together.
Wouldn't this just be contradicting the healthy school lunch they are supposed to be supplying, you cannot have a healthy diet without exercise, i don't care who ya are!
The United States is at an all time high when it comes to obese Americans. Physical education is a way to help prevent obesity and should not be cut

I also feel that even though Physical Education will not fully rid of obesity it will help. Physical Education is also a great way for young kids to learn other traits like teamwork and sportsmanship. These are necessary traits that most kids should learn.

Yeah; I heard about that and the cutting of transportation the may even make the school week shorter and the day longer that's going to be the only alternative.
Since obesity is becomming such a major problem in the US today, especially in America's youth you would think that Physical Education would be funded even more to help solve this problem. I'm sure there is another alternative than to cut from physical education funds.

P.E. should be allotted more funding if anything, cutting it is a very bad move. Kids like X-boxs now when they go home, not climbing trees and whacking each other with sticks.
