Hillary on The Daily Show

I was just watching Hillary Clinton on The Daily Show with Jon Stewart. She spoke of both her and Obama's campaigns as being monumental and referred to them in surprisingly equal lights. What she generally said was that regardless of who won the democratic platform, they would fully support each other. When Stewart complimented Clinton, Obama's, and McCain's support of one another, she emphatically agreed and spoke of the idea of a bipartisan cabinet. She overtly made a disparaging comment about Bush (like Mr. Q said candidates would begin doing in class today), saying that the democrats should be able to lead Americans in "repairing" what Bush has done. What do you guys think of shows on Comedy Central that include political commentary, like The Daily Show and The Colbert Report? Do you think Hillary's statements will have any bearing on Texas and Ohio's primaries tomorrow?

  1. I agree with her on the bipartisan cabinet. Throughout history bipartisan cabinets have been used to pull a country together in times of struggle. Although many disagree that the country is struggling, i personally see a bipartisan cabinet as a good thing.

I enjoy these types of shows as well as many talk radio shows and see them as a comic relief to some of the more serious network shows and the news papers and news programs. I do not think he statements will have a noticeable effect on Texas or Ohio

  3. Anything a presidential canidate says can and will be scrutinized, wether it be in a speech, or on a political satire on comedy central. This being said, any statment made will have an influence on public opinion and will effect elections, wether it be good or bad.
