Obama Is On Fire!!!
Last night during the Democratic Debate between presidental both hopefuls for the democratic party, I think Obama clearly was the victor. It was good to see only two canidates square off to answer direct questions aimed at them indivigualy. The Republican Debate party however was little a town gathered around to watch a WWF wrestling match. During the debate last night I thought that Obama stoud his ground when he was addressed. He answered firmly when called upon. He was very clear on his choices about issues of the past, like "Iraq." He was proffecional and to the point, he didn't side step any issuses. He was even a gentelmen, at the end he stoud up and pulled Mrs. Clintons chair out so she could stand up. In that guester allown he showed young men everywhere white, black, latino, etc. that you should be a gentelmen even to your opposition. It is also my belief that Mrs. Clinton's perposed policy on health care would be too costly and even more devasting to our economy. Her perposed policy was that the government foot the bill for everyone's heath insurance. This would lead to the destuction of the insurance companies, hospitals, many doctors offices and much more. Here's a suggestion the Clintons as well as pass presidents can for go their there Lavish life style and the pay that we Americans countinue to pay them even after they leave office, then we can put that money directly back into the health care system. Obama's plans sound well based and carefully thought through. He also seem to be the one that can bridge the gap between the American People and the Governing parties of this country.
'Here's a suggestion the Clintons as well as pass presidents can for go their there Lavish life style and the pay that we Americans countinue to pay them even after they leave office'
ReplyDeleteI've thought about that too. Bill Clinton still recieves his yearly salary and will til he dies right? If Hillary becomes president we'll do the same for her when she leaves! That's crazy! It does not make sense to pay any two people that much money AFTER they leave the job. And you know they are not going to use that money and spend it to boost the economy! People aren't going to get social security but Bill and Hillary, Chelsea, her kids, their kids..they are going to be ballin' off that money alone. and I'd have to be crazy to think for a second that that's the only income they have coming in.
I'm not being a hater though! "Get it how you live"
ReplyDeleteKP; I didn't think about that factor, paying two people of the same family. We will be doing the same for the Bush family as well! I wonder how much we pay our past presidents each year? Our wages do go up at the rate of inflation but I bet their's do.

ReplyDelete"Effective Jan. 1, 2001, the salary of the president of the United States was increased to $390,000 per year including a $50,000 expense account...
ReplyDeleteAccording to the National Taxpayers Union, former President Clinton will draw an annual pension of around $161,200 and could earn a total record-high pension of over $7 million, should he live to be 80."
hmmmm. Must be nice. And who knows..it's probably gone up since this was reported. Our wages do go up as a result of inflation but they don't KEEP up with inflation.
I think that's very nice, to find someone who's running against another in the same campaign and still be a gentlemen, now that's class. I wouldn't have been impressed if he nit-picked and said derogatory statements. Intelligence, polite, and consistant, wonderful qualities I'm seeing.
ReplyDeleteI tend to agree with you about Obama being a gentlemen, and there is no doubt that he has class, but would you really expect anything less? These are people who have all been schooled, cultured, and nit picked at there whole lives to even make it into the limelight. They are really brought up to be covered in the media. I don't think you will very often see true derogatory statements amongst the elite in the country and while these are all qualities that a president needs to have, I think all candidates share these qualities. Nobody gets on the campaign trail by doing otherwise.
ReplyDeleteI have not seen it in any other canidate this year.
ReplyDeleteYeah but just because Obama is a so called "gentlemen" doesn't mean he's make a good president. I mean Charles Manson was also a "gentleman" and look how that turned out.
ReplyDeleteCherish, you are right. My claim was not that because he is a gentleman he would be are good president, yet he does display a positive charactor that many young men these days need to see. Many men don't know how to threat a women more over many men didn't respect women. This have been proven even in "Washington", so as man myself it is great to see men up-holding and respecting women. It is also good that African American men and any other man can see his example. I have 6 sisters, a mother, a wife and a daughter so you can see why I think it noble to see men at like men for a change, even if it is something as small as pulling out a womens chair to help her up!
ReplyDeleteWell I understand what you are saying about the lack of respect for women these days and it's great that he decided to pull out her chair for her, but honestly and this is just my own personal opinion, I don't think he would have been worried about whether or not he pulled Hillary's chair out for her if half of America wasn't watching.
ReplyDeletewhat can i say; the guy is good!
ReplyDeleteHe is a formidable foe.
