Vigilantes or bigots
http://www.orlandosentinel.com/news/local/state/orl-minutemen2507nov25,0,6920660.story?page=1 I think a majority of the people who are mintue men, are not out to get somebody because they are raciest. The main fact here is that something does need to be done about illegal immigration. I do feel sorry for what mexicans are having to go through in their country and no I would not want to live there and would look for a better alternitive too, but I would do it legally! I think a lot of people miss that word. The issue is not that we don't want them here (there are some that think that way) the issue is the way they are going about it. Do it LEGALLY and there is no problem.

I could go the legal way involving documentation, inspection and a whole lot of bureaucracy that is expensive and time consuming.
Or maybe I'll just hop this fence.
Immigrants try to enter the country illegaly because it's easier. And many poor may not have the legal documents and identification that are required to enter the U.S.
The minute men's behavior and actions also heavily support racial profiling, like the man from Florida in the article.
I think that they should also become citizens legaly. Unfortunately there are people who feel they do not have the time of correct documentation to enter our country. In some ways the situation is sad.
I do beileve people migrating to the United States should go about this process legally. What I don't agree with is a bunch of bored, middle aged racistis hunting down illegal aliens in their off time. These type of extremists drive me nuts.

That is one huge problem. It takes a very long time for the paper work to go through. Having many immigrants in my family and being 2nd generation immigrant myself I see this quite a bit. People wait years upon years for the paper work to go through and yes it is also expensive for them. My dad did it legally, but he had another family member to file for him, he was rich compared to the others from the country, he was in good standing no criminal record infact his father was a political figure in the country and he was a policeman; My dad waited 3 years to become a U.S. citizen.
Doing things illegally isn't good by any means, but you have to look at it from their point of view. We should have more staff, instead of having some of this paper work sitting around a whole year before someone gets the chance to look at it. This isn't a point your finger at the other person type of case. The United States needs to make some changes too.
