It seems the fact that 9/11 occured has died down a bit. It almost seems the only time this instance is brought up is when some company is trying to sell a product or an idea. This tragedy is also used in arguments, which doesn't show much honor.
For everyone who has forgot, here is a post that reminds you the true meaning of 9/11. I had family working in the world trade centers and they survived that day. I will do my best to remember what I could have lost and why I should cherish it.
People do forget very quickly. The world is moving so fast. People forget what it was like that day, as justice was on the minds of almost every American. We went to war, people died for us, yet they forget.
ReplyDeleteI feel the same way too. I have visited Ground Zero, and although there was a memorial there, I was a little dissapointed there wasn't more to remember that tragic day. There was so much construction going on and people not paying attention to why they were there. I think it is so easy for us to forget because a week or so after the tragedy, our lives were normal again, but for so many people, that is not the case. And, for the soilders and their families, things will never be the same.
ReplyDeleteI don't think it has died down. They just had huge anniversary events, There is something on cable about 9/11 almost every day. Politicians mention it in speeches every day. Maybe it's just the media you watch, because I hear about it all the time still.
