Hilary Clinton's Song

I was listening to the radio this morning and heard a clip from back when Hilary Clinton was the First Lady. The clip was of her singing along (I presume with other people, but they were edited out) to the National Anthem. But she didn't know any of the words! She was stumbling all over them, making them up, singing anything BUT the lyrics!

I realize that not a lot of people know the words to this song and others that are significant to the country, but don't you think that if you hold a position like that that you should know them?

What do you all think?

  2. I think that someone whose husband happens to be the freaking President should know the words to the National Anthem. Now this lady is running for President, forget about it.

  3. Yes I do believe that political figures should know the words to the National Anthem. Then again, if it was heard on a radio station there is probably nothing to prove it was actually Hillary Clinton. How can we be sure that it was really her? How can we be sure that her voice was not dubbed along with the other "voices" that were supposedly dubbed out?

  4. I fail to see the logic of voting for or against someone based on something that has nothing to do with their job. These are the types of nonsense issues that people base their votes on that give us the kinds of elected representatives that everyone ends up hating.

  5. I agree. Funny, but not exclusive of political prowess.

On a side note, I just came across an interesting quote...

“And finally, on another personal note, I come to this decision from the perspective of a Senator from New York who has seen all too closely the consequences of last year’s terrible attacks on our nation. In balancing the risks of action versus inaction, I think New Yorkers who have gone through the fires of hell may be more attuned to the risk of not acting. I know that I am.

“So it is with conviction that I support this resolution as being in the best interests of our nation. A vote for it is not a vote to rush to war; it is a vote that puts awesome responsibility in the hands of our President and we say to him - use these powers wisely and as a last resort. And it is a vote that says clearly to Saddam Hussein - this is your last chance - disarm or be disarmed.”

    --Hillary Clinton, 2002

  6. I did not know this. It is very intersting that a potiential president does not knot the words to the National Anthem. We should tell as many people as we can.
