Death Penalty

It really bothers me that there are people who think that it is alright to even acknowledge the concept of an eye for an eye. This concept makes me ashamed to be an American. Who gave us or anybody for that matter the right to decide who should live and who should die. I see nothing right about playing God and that's exactly what's being done. There are those playing God by creating life and there are those playing God by taking life. What is this world coming to, and how can anybody justify this behavior?

This is also a fallacy, as there are many people who are family members of murder victims who oppose the death penalty.

We have also never had government-sanctioned stoning in the U.S.

  2. Because the appeals process, which is necessary to prevent innocent people from being executed, is so costly, it actually costs quite a bit more to execute someone than it does to imprison them for life.

  3. I think it is fair, if they can prove you actually did it. To take a life without any mercy you should not be shown any either. If someone where to kill someone I love I hope they are put to death.
