Why do we feel the need to stick our nose in domestic affairs of other countries that have nothing to do with the well being of our own country? For some unknown reason we have it in our minds that we control the world and everything that goes on in it. When we don’t like something another country is doing we come in, show our guns, then tell them how we want things done, sometimes not that simple. We always think it’s our god given right to establish order everywhere. In reality the only country we need to be worrying about establishing order in is our own. We cannot start fixing other countries until we figure out how to fix ourselves. The Constitution clearly states we must establish Justice, insure domestic Tranquility, provide for the common defense, promote the general Welfare, and secure the Blessings of Liberty to ourselves and our Posterity. Nowhere does it say anything about the wellbeing of other countries, let other countries worry about themselves we’ll worry about us.

There are certain cases where it is in the best interest of our country to "stick our nose" into the affairs of other countries. We can't sit back and watch countries who hate us and our allies grow nuclear warfare programs. It becomes our business when a country is a potential threat to our or our allies' well being.

I agree, there are some instances where we do need to intervene in some countries affairs to avoid possible negative situations for our country, government, and our people. However, we do need to place more awareness on what's going on within our borders. We're striving to keep peace and order in other countries, meanwhile in our homeland we are dealing with some of the worst economic crisis leaving millions of Americans jobless, taking away millions of dollars from education, and placing a financial strain on states that depend so much on things such as tourism for example, Florida and California.

We can't pretend that we aren't affected by domestic issues of other countries. Maybe in Eutopia, but we live in the real world. It is in our best interest to be involved in world events/issues. What we don't try to address overseas, will eventually find their way to our shores. Besides, as a major world-player, it is our moral responsibility to look out for the underdogs of world societies.

It’s true that we should not intervene in everyone else’s problems. We can’t expect to force our values or way of life on any country. There have and will always be certain circumstances that merit our intervention. We should never let acts of per terror such as genocide happen to any citizen of the world. We must always have a clear understanding of the difference, between intervention and the occupation of a country.

I agree that we should not include ourselves in other countries problems, we should know this by now because we are still in another country trying to solve their problems when we need to be focusing on our own. The only reason why we should ever intervene would be if it was a direct threat having to do with our country.

I agree that America should focus its attention on its own issues. We worry about other countries, but yet and still there are places in America with the same economic problems. People are without food, shelter, and healthcare. Before we put time, money, and effort in improving these conditions in other countries we first need to improve our own.

I completely agree with you, as sad as it is to see other countries that need help why do we have to be the ones to “save the world”? As far as I’m concerned, America single handedly became one of the world’s largest super powers and if we can do it I’m sure other countries can pull themselves out of a rut without our help. We are supposed to help everyone so much, but when we have a problem of our own we have to fix it ourselves. That just doesn’t seem right to me.
