Offensive or Funny?

http://news.aol.com/elections/article/vanity-fair-spoofs-new-yorker-cover/98079
A little after The New Yorker Magazine published this cover of Barack Obama and his wife, Vanity Fair magazine turned the tables and released this magazine cover with McCain and his wife. Vanity Fair depicts McCain with a walker, his wife (who once had a drug problem) holding pills, and a portrait of George Bush over the fireplace where the Constitution is burning. Do you think Vanity Fair went to far with their possible retaliation?

Just like they say all is fair in love and war, in politics it doesn't matter if its fair or not fair its all the same. The New Yorker is obviously more Conservative and is trying to bash Obama, so since Vanity Fair is more Liberal they retaliated. Both pictures are so similar its crazy to think one is more done than the other. Both have pictures of disliked men, both have items important to America, the flag and the constitution, burning in the fireplace. McCain is dipicted as old and his wife who had a drug problem is shown with pills, Obama is shown in a muslim attire and his wife, who stated she hated America is wearing military gear and ahs a gun. The two pictures are mirror images of each other and neither one is out of bounds more so than the first.
