Plague to School System, or Making Young Men's Dreams Come True?
I came across this article on students getting 'molested' by teachers. This instantly reminded me of a stand up comedy routine that was not only hilarous, but slightly truthful. Now, I'm totally against some dirty bastard touching elementary school, or even middle school kids--I mean that is just sick (though this is mainly what the article was talking about). However, when it comes to high school aged kids I think things get a little blury. Now I can totally see a young girl getting tricked into sex or raped, but serioulsy, some of these female teachers that are getting busted for "raping" or "molesting" guys is just crazy (this is where I was reminded of the stand up routine, and I agree with it). On this, name a single heterosexual, or even bisexual, male who would turn down sex with a female teacher (unless she is really old)?? I don't know of any. I don't know, I just think it is kind of scketchy that these kids are coming out and suing the schools orthe teachers or reporting it. Is that just me?

While there is some validity to what you are saying, it is, of course illegal for these teachers to do this and therefore it is completely valid for the families to sue over this.
Not only that like what the professor said, but also a lot of the girls only have problems with it due to their name being defamed. Although some boys might not care, their parents do and they care about their character. Like with both girls and boys it might not be they themselves but their parents that want to claim some sort of restitution for what had happened.
A child, which is what they are, is not fully mentally or emotionally developed. Children do not think of the long term consequences of their actions and because of this they make foolish decisions. It should be the responsibility of the adult in the school to take care of the children and foster their development. Not trick them, deceive them, and play on their hormones. Adults know better and should be capable of making better decisions.
I'll concede your point that some high school boys may think it is cool to engage in sexual activity with a female teacher but let's look at it from the other perspective. What would a grown woman want with a boy? There are plenty of grown men out there do date. It would lead me to believe that the female teacher had mental issues that needed to be dealt with. Based on that I believe that the parents should be able to bring a lawsuit, and win.
The real issue is that these teachers are breaking the law when they do this. Ethically speaking, they can't do it for a conflict-of-interest kind of reason, and I am sure that there is language in the teacher's licence prohibiting it, and lastly, sex with anyone, male or female cannot be deemed consentual as they are minors. But to say that "all boys would like it" is a bit naive and stereotypical.
I don't have a "bluemeanie" in my gradebook, so I can't give you credit for these posts unless you go back to each individual post an add your name.
All it comes down to is that it is illegal and when they get caught the teacher is going to be held responsible everytime. Whoever the other person may be, it doesnt matter if they agreed to it or enjoyed it, it is still illegal and would give them a reason to sue.
If I were a parent I'd be enraged to hear that a teacher raped my son or daughter. From the parent's perspective this is a gross crime indeed.
It's so bias what you're saying. It's like me saying 'what teenage girl would turn down sex with a male teacher?' I KNOW A LOT! Of course families are suing over this. Male or female, the child was molested.
